Growing up, I always considered a nude item, whether it was a pair of shoes, undergarments, or tights to naturally be a few shades lighter than my own skin. It wasn’t until I was exposed to brands such as Nubian Skin and Kahmune that broadened my perspective around nude colored items. This all seems very obvious that nude items should, for the most part, coincide with the color of one’s skin to give the “nude effect”… Right! Am I right? However, growing up, I had never experienced a brand that catered specifically to those with darker skin tones.
