Plaid is one of those patterns that will stand the test of time.
Plaid weins and weens in popularity from season to season. However, this pattern always tends to come back in style one way or the other. over time. Recently, I’ve seen more plaid pieces styled inside and outside of the office and I’m loving the inspiration.
I recently received this beautiful plaid suit from THE FOLD LONDON (gifted), and I fell in love. However, what was most challenging was styling the suit since it’s definitley a stand out piece. So I’m going to share my 3 tips on how to style a patterned suit for the office.
- Choose a neutral color that will compliment the colors within the pattern.
- If the trousers has belt loops, select a contrasting belt that will help to break up the business of the pattern.
- Find a pair of shoes that coordinates with the color of the belt to ensure there’s cohesion with the accessories and footwear.
Remember, at the end of the day you should do what makes you feel and look your best! So these tips by no means are the only tips you can use when styling a patterned suit.
